Request Account Deletion

1. How to request deletion

To delete your account and associated data:

• Email us at support@mochatrade.com with the subject line “Delete Account”.
• Include the email address or phone number you used to sign up for Mochatrade, so we can locate your account.
• Send the request from that same email address where possible. It helps us verify the request is genuinely yours. If you email from a different address, we may ask you to confirm ownership before we proceed.

2. How long it takes

We process account deletion requests within 48 hours of receiving them, and we email you a confirmation once your account and data have been deleted.

3. Withdraw your funds first

Before requesting deletion, close any open positions and withdraw your full balance to your linked bank account. Deposits and withdrawals are made in INR through regulated banking channels, so withdrawals can only be sent to a bank account you have linked and verified. Deleting your account removes your access to the Mochatrade app; it does not transfer any remaining balance on your behalf, and we cannot restore access to a deleted account.

4. Data that is deleted

When we process your request, we permanently delete the following:

• Profile and account data: your name, email address, phone number, login identity, and app settings such as watchlists and preferences.
• Waitlist and referral data: your waitlist entry, referral code, and referral attribution.
• Support history: your support chat messages and any files you sent us through in-app support.
• Device and usage data: analytics and telemetry events linked to your account identifier.
• Verification data: one-time codes and verification records for your email address and phone number.

5. Data that is retained

A limited set of records must be kept to meet legal, tax, and anti-money-laundering obligations. These are retained in a restricted form and are not used to contact you or to provide the Services:

• Transaction and trade records (deposits, withdrawals, orders, and fills), retained for up to 8 years as required by Indian tax and record-keeping rules.
• Tax withholding records, including any TDS deducted on your transactions, retained for up to 8 years.
• KYC and identity-verification records held by our regulated payment partners, retained for up to 5 years after the end of the relationship, as required under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
• Payment records held by our banking and payment partners, which they retain under their own regulatory obligations and which we cannot delete on your behalf.

Once these retention periods expire, the records are deleted or anonymized.
